Advice from Simon Sinek

I met Simon in 2012, two years after the TED talk that made him unavoidable at every conference in Europe.

What stayed with me was not the why. It was an aside about patience: that the people who change an industry are usually the ones still there in year seven, saying the same thing, to a room that has finally filled up.

I have thought about that in every company I have built and every board I have joined. The market rarely rejects the idea. It rejects the timing, and timing is mostly endurance.
